Coinbase dApp - Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing the Coinbase Payment Link App (referred to as "the App"), a decentralized application (dApp) developed by Linkdrop Labs Inc. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the App. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The Coinbase Payment Link App allows users to initiate USDC transfers by depositing USDC into an Escrow Contract. The sender can then generate a payment link and share it with the recipient. If the recipient does not claim the escrowed USDC before the expiration set by the sender, the assets are returned to the sender. Please note that the App was developed separately from Linkdrop's public dashboard and claim application. Therefore, the Linkdrop dashboard cannot be used to create claim links for this specific dApp. Users must utilize the dedicated Coinbase dApp to create and claim payment links.

2. Coinbase Wallet Requirement:

The App's workflow is specifically tailored for use with the Coinbase Wallet. Users are required to have or install the Coinbase Wallet to access and utilize the App's features.

3. Security and Assurance:

The App's interfaces have been developed in collaboration with the Coinbase team. For security reasons, initially, the amount of assets that can be transferred in a single link will be limited to the equivalent of 100 USD. This limit may change in the future if agreed internally with the Coinbase team, without requiring specific announcements.

4. Fee Deduction:

In the event that Coinbase chooses not to sponsor the usage of the App, any applicable fees will be deducted from the sender's assets (the creator of the payment link). The amount of this deduction will be transparently presented in the App's interface before any assets are secured or charged from the user. Users will have the option to cancel the process at this stage and decide whether to proceed with using the App or not. Our commitment to transparency ensures that you have full visibility into any potential fees and can make informed decisions about your usage.

5. Enhancements and Updates:

Additional features, networks, and potential changes to existing features may be introduced in coordination with the Coinbase team. Users will be notified of such developments through Coinbase and Linkdrop's social media channels.

6. Data Collection:

The App employs Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to collect basic events and build usage funnels. Plausible is selected for its commitment to user privacy and data protection. It helps us understand how users interact with the App and make improvements accordingly. To further safeguard your privacy, we've implemented a special enhancement that ensures only necessary data is transmitted to Plausible. This enhancement prevents the transmission of complete URLs to Plausible, preserving the confidentiality of sensitive information. Please review Plausible's data policy to understand how your data is handled. We take your privacy seriously and are dedicated to maintaining a secure and transparent experience for all users.

7. Securing Assets:

The App's process involves securing transferred assets (USDC) into an escrow contract, requiring two signatures. If the process is interrupted after assets are secured but before the payment link is created, users can resume the process by clicking a specific button from the Coinbase Wallet history screen, which will deep link to the App and allow them to finalize the creation of the payment link.

8. Expiration of Payment Links:

If assets secured within a payment link are not claimed within a specified number of days (N), they will be automatically returned to the link creator. The value of N may change without prior notification to users. At the time of publishing these Terms and Conditions, N is set to 30 days.

9. Instant Asset Reclaim:

Should a user change their mind about distributing their assets through a payment link, they can follow their own link to instantly claim and retrieve their assets.

11. Supported Networks and Assets:

Initially, the App will be guaranteed to work on the Polygon network and with USDC. Further updates and enhancements will be communicated separately. Users can find relevant information in public announcements on social networks.
